Influenza is so dangerous because it comes from a virus. This virus is not found in bacteria, but in a group of inert genetic material. The group hooks on to cells like a leech, injecting the material into the cell. By doing so it takes over the cell, telling it to make copies of the virus. The cell eventually burst, causing hundreds of copies of the virus to take over more cells. Fortunately your bodies immune system can kill the virus as its being copied.

Normally a Vaccine for this strain of flu would be helpful, but thus far there isn’t one. One of the many problems involves with influenza is that there are so many strains. Creating a vaccine for so many strains would cost millions of dollars and a lot of time.

The symptoms come on fast, possibly all occurring in one day. First come a lousy cough, followed by weakness and and pain. It takes days for your body to kill the virus and rebuild your cells.

This is not to be taken lightly though, Because in rare cases to many cells can be infected to fast causing death. The virus over time can cause bacterial infections and tissue damage. These infections can also be fatal.

The best thing you can do to prevent Swine Flu would be to stay in your home enclosed until the virus is contained. Knowing that your gonna need to continue living your life my best advice would be to wash your hands, and keep them away from your face. Rated glasses, and particle masks may also be affective given that the virus can enter your eyes, nose and mouth.
