Here is a breakdown of the Casey Anthony case. The case of a mother who is accused of murdering her baby girl. If you still aren’t sure whether or not she’s guilty, please read. All comments welcome. Please take the time to stop and remember Caylee Anthony.

I have been following the Casey Anthony case from day one.  In the beginning, I didn’t want to believe that it was really Casey who had done something to the baby.  I was hoping that she was just misplaced, and would come home soon.  Pretty soon, it became evident that wasn’t the case.  For those who don’t know, Casey Anthony is a 23 year old mother who is sitting in jail charged with murdering her child.  During the months her child was “missing” (June 2008) Casey was seen partying, getting drunk, being with many guys, and caught stealing her “best friends”  checkbook. illa,

With the stolen money, she bought beer, sunglasses, bras, sweat shirts, and food.  All she is worried about is her social life.  No care in the world that her baby girl was “missing”.

She tells her family in June that her baby was being watched by the nanny, Zenaida Gonzalez, also called Zanny the Nanny.  In June is also the time that Casey borrows a shovel.  I don’t understand why people around her weren’t more observant.  I have a really hard time believing that the entire Anthony family believed these lies and didn’t question the whereabouts of Caylee for a full month.  In June of 2008 Cindi Anthony, Casey’s mother finally tells her that if she is not able to see Caylee, she is going to call the police.  This is when Casey says OK mom, let’s go.  When Cindi asks what happened, Casey then admits that “Zanny” kidnapped Caylee and gave her a note to say to everyone when they asked about the baby.  Police tried to  look up her story and found that everything was a lie. She said she worked at Universal studios.  She took the police all the way to Universal Studios, all the way to the department she was suppose to work in, until she finally turned around, looked at the officers, and said, I don’t work here.  Then they asked where Zanny lived.  She told them.  When they arrived to the apartment complex that Casey said she dropped her daughter off every day.  They then found out that nobody has lived there in months!  A Zenaida Gonzalez did come there and look at an apartment around that time, but she did not live there.  They found the Zenaida Gonzalez that had come to look at that apartment, and knew right away that this was made up.  This lady knew nothing of Casey Anthony.  She is now suing Casey for slandering her name.

Cindi calls the police after finding Casey’s car and says that it smells like there is a dead body in the back of the car.  Later Cindi says, that she never stated that she said the car smelt like a dead body, even though that 911 call was recorded.  George Anthony also stated while being interviewed that when he opened the trunk of his daughters car that he knew the smell from being a former police officer, and he was just hoping and praying that wasn’t his granddaughter in the back of that car.  Later he changed that statement to the smell was a dead animal that was run over.  Cindi also said that it was a rotten pizza box in the trunk that had stayed out in the heat.  These are the reasons that I believe the family may have been involved in somehow trying to cover up the murder.  Casey was finally arrested on July 16th 2008.

She made bail by a man named Leonard Padilla.  Leonard is a bounty hunter from California who came forward claiming that he believed that Casey was innocent.  Casey was put on house arrest.  The entire time that she was put on house arrest she never once tried to do anything for her “missing” daughter.  She just sat at home feeling sorry for herself.   After a few days, Leonard came out and said that he was taking his name off of the bond.  She was then rearrested.  This is where she still sits, in Orange County Jail, Orlando Florida.  They took her computer and found that she (or someone in the house) had researched Chloroform on the computer and missing children.  They researched this before the baby came up “missing.”  While in jail, Cindi and George Anthony continued to claim their daughter was innocent.  Cindi continued to follow leads all over the US of Caylee sightings.  The entire time Casey was in jail all she talked about at visits was how bad things were for her, and how sorry she felt, and how she was really the victim.  Cindi and George would continue to ask her for any information that she could give them to help them find Caylee, Casey would then get angry and say, I don’t know.  At one time, Casey became furious with her parents threatening to just hang up the phone and walk away.

Finally December 11th 2008 little baby Caylee was found. She was less then a mile from the Anthony house.  A utility worker found her in the woods.  She was in a black plastic bag, and her skull had duct tape on it.  There was a little heart sticker on the duct tape.  The bones were those of a small child.  America held it’s breath as they did forensics.  Everyone knew, but nobody wanted to believe that this was America’s sweetheart that had stole our hearts singing “you are my sunshine.”  A few days later, we were sad to find out that the remains were Caylee’s, yet happy to know that she would be put to rest.  The attitude of the Anthony family changes after the remains were found.  Cindi and George stayed out of spotlight.  Lee Anthony is her brother.  He has acted strange through this whole process as well.  He has always supported his sister the entire time, which is respectable, but it seems to me he is hiding something. He was really close to his niece, and yet has never heard of Zanny the nanny until after Casey was arrested??  A brother never asks his sister where her daughter is?  That doesn’t make sense to me.

George did attempt to commit suicide on February 4th 2009 after the finding of his granddaughter.  He went to a motel, got some beer and pills, wrote a letter, and sent a text message.  Thankfully the police got there and put him in a hospital.  I sort of feel personally that he did this to take the focus off of Casey for awhile, and put sympathy back on the family.  Then again, another part of me really feels bad for George, all in a little while, he lost his baby granddaughter, who he was very close to, and he lost his daughter.  He is having trouble coping with the fact that his own daughter, his own flesh and blood could commit cold blooded murder.  He feels guilty.

In the meantime, Casey sits in jail, awaiting trial for murder.  The state had taken the death penalty off of the table, but after the new findings of her daughter, they are now thinking of putting that death penalty back on the table. The reason why they are hesitating is because they really don’t believe any jury will give such a young lady the death penalty.

Many people wonder what would drive a young woman to cold bloodily kill her own child. Her yearbook picture shows a pretty young lady that you’d never think could harm anyone.

When Casey was pregnant with Caylee, she wanted to have an abortion. She wasn’t ready to give up her social life.  Her mother talked her out of it and told her no, she was going to keep and raise her child.  After she had the baby, she wasn’t the baby anymore. There was pressure on her to go out and get a job to raise this baby.  Looking at the pictures, you’d think she was a happy, loving mother.  She looked like she loved taking care of her child.  I guess looks can be deceiving.

She couldn’t go out and party like she wanted to.  Her boyfriends weren’t fond of always having a baby around.  Her mother and her were fighting.  She decided to get back at her mom.  Take away the one thing her mom loved the most: Caylee.  This is my theory based on facts of what happened.  I welcome any opinions and comments.  Let’s all just pray that there will be justice for baby Caylee.  Her smile has left an imprint on my heart, as it has many others.  RIP Baby Caylee.
