Threat of mass strike by public sector workers made. Union warns up to 750,000 people could strike.
Unions have warned that there will be a mass public sector strike at the end of June, with up to 750,000 people attending due to cuts backs, wage freezes and pension changes.
If this strike goes ahead it will affect millions of children all over England and Wales as schools will close as teachers go on strike.

The Government has suggested that this will not be a good move. But of course, they will say that. They believe that what they are doing is completely legitimate and can’t understand ( because their own pockets are fully lined) what problems these cuts are causing for the average family.
As long as bankers and top business men and women keep getting their bonuses, and the rest of us have to deal with the cuts, then strikes like these are going to continue.
The PCS union is waiting for result on a vote that they expect to be in majority favour for the strike. The results will be announced on today, 15th June 2011.
Other members of the PCS union include police support and job centre staff, which will also create problems for those sectors.
Updates will follow.

Interesting article. With the economy like it is all over the world, striking doesn’t seem wise. Maybe things are better in England, than, here. Hope it works out for them.
Hmmm Agree with mphsglo
We need the same kind of thing in the U.S. The middle class has been devastated long enough.
