Yes that’s right in Dallas, Texas, a rookie police officer issued a ticket to a women who spoke little to none English. There are no laws on the book that require drivers to speak English, the only laws that are in affect are for taxi drivers and commercial drivers to be able to speak proper English. This dose not include any civilian drivers, and can not be used in the case.

The women was pulled over for an in proper U-Turn, when she was issued the ticket, there is an investigation since the Dallas police department has issued 39 tickets for not being able to speak English over the last 3 years. She was also issued a ticket for not having a driver’s license.

According to Mondragons daughter, Brenda said “her mother was rushing to get her younger sister to school and she didn’t see the no U-Turn sign.” Records also show that she did have a proper diver license, her daughter said “she had forgotten it do to the rush she was in.”Brenda also said “that her mother is a native Spanish speaker, and speaks vary limited English.”

Latter in the matter she was so upset she had to be taken to the emergency room, this all happened because she was so nervous and stressing over the ticket that was issued.

All the charges against Miss Mondragon will be dropped, and the police department has issued an apology, and for the all the other tickets issued in the past will be fully reimbursed. The police have also apologized for this misshape.

I just hope this time the police learn that they have to abide by the laws just as every one else dose. They should also remember the Constitution the main law’s of the land.
