The younger daughter, Edith Moreno, was found in a house in the 7800 block of Irvine Avenue; her older sister, Diana Moreno, was found in a converted garage at the back of the property.

The girls were found at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday by police responding to a 911 call reporting an assault. A witness looked into a window and saw one of the girls on the floor and called 911. Both of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
