Also living in the home were two kids and a dog.
There are cat lovers and then there is Wanda Oughton, who lives in a million dollar mansion in Chester Twp, New Jersey with 2 adult children and over 90 cats. Yes that is right over 90 cats. Here home is pristine to look at from the outside but the inside is an absolute wreck.

Apparently to feed so many cats Oughton would simply throw food onto the floor in one room in the house and the cats could feast whenever they liked. Of course after cats feed they need to go to the bathroom and another room in the house was designated the cat bathroom and had roughly 2 inches of cat feces covering the floor according to a Chester Twp Sergeant who told children at the Black River Middle School of the incident.
No one is quite sure how long Oughton lived this way and neighbors said they have never seen any signs of cats outside the house. Oughton seems not to have had much company other than her cats. Someone tipped off the SPCA about Oughton and when they showed at the house they were denied entrance. Later the SPCA returned with police and a search warrant and after the investigation Oughton could face 93 criminal complaints for failing to provide the felines proper shelter, with each count carrying up to a $1,000 fine, six months in jail and 60 days of community service.
Though the cats were well fed many were covered in feces and the inside of the house was strewn with garbage. A dog was also found living in the house and reports are that he is very skittish. Can you imagine one dog living with 93 cats? Think I would be a little skittish too.

People investigating at the house said from the outside you would never guess 93 cats lived inside except when the wind blew from a certain direction you could smell the feces. The 93 cats are now being spread out to all the veterinarians in the area to avoid overloading any one vet.
SPCA worker Matthew Stanton said the case was highly unusual but not unprecedented. He once came across an apartment in Nutley, NJ that contained 176 cats.

I love my cats and dogs…but not this much. That is just pure unhealthy!
I have a number of cats but they are not allowed inside our house. Also they are trained to defecate only in the ground and always cover their feces with soil.
