Driver Fled, Passenger Wounded Following a Chase in Oklahoma City

An individual was reportedly wounded during a brief police pursuit in southwest Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City police say the pursuit began after a driver took off from a traffic stop near S.W. 59th and Shields.

Officials say a driver took off from a traffic stop close to S.W. 59th and Shield. This prompted the chase.

The driver fled on foot after his vehicle crashed near I-44 and S.W. 44th St.

A passenger, who sustained some injuries resulting from the crash, was seen inside the vehicle. He was treated at the scene.

Officers say the driver has not been found.
